One
nice side effect of the ‘modern Indian’ trend is the way wine is
being pulled along in the slipstream. Recently, someone at this
exuberantly decorated, upmarket spot just off Oxford Street, had a
great idea – pairing Zinfandel with things like tandoori seared foie
gras with dates, marinated tuna and yoghurt-marinated tender lamb
cutlets from the tandoori oven. It worked, beautifully. The Zins
join more than 100 other pricey but interesting choice. |
